Help full hint:

Do not put the glue on the rod tip, drip it in side the rod tip tube itself. The best way to glue your tip is by using an alcohol lamp but a simple candle will do. If you have to you can use a cigarette lighter like a zippo because you need both hands to be free. Use a pair of forceps or pliers to hold the tip with the tube opening facing up. Wave the tip and the glue stick over the flame and let the glue drip into the tube. Once you get the glue into the hot tip quickly insert the tip on to the rod, turn until it lines up with the other guides. The glue hardens quickly and it may be necessary to "warm" up the tip while on the rod to make a perfect aliment. Be careful not to melt you rod.
